ABOUT EVERYONE HURTS
Everyone Hurts Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established primarily to promote the mental health and wellbeing of New Zealanders. We want to open up the conversation - change it and eradicate the stigma attached - because whether we talk about it or not, everyone hurts.
Cunningly, and without prejudice, Mental illness can knock on the door of the incredibly wealthy, and the dirt poor.
The very old and the very young.
Those who call themselves Kiwi or American; straight, cis, bi, black, white, of colour.
Those who are gainfully employed, and those who may be struggling to work.
This is a problem that can strike anyone.
We all have mental health the same way we have our physical health. Everyone hurts wants to engage communities throughout New Zealand by using events designed to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention. We want to collaborate with and support other registered charitable trusts in New Zealand because there is already some incredible work being done in this space to help people. We want to facilitate and promote mental health awareness through the sharing of people’s experiences and turn some of the pain and suffering into connection and wellness.
If anyone would like to contact us, whether it is to share your story, to seek comfort and understanding, or just to say hello, we would love to hear from you. Please use the contact form, or email us at stories.everyonehurts@gmail.com
